Case for Change
The objectives of this project were to review a possible skills gap in ensuring the arts are accessible to people with a disability, and to consider what additional training may be required to meet that skills gap.
PwC’s Skills for Australia prepared the Case for Change for this project on behalf of the Culture and Related Industries Industry Reference Committee (CUA IRC) and submitted it to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) in January 2017.
The AISC endorsed this project on 23 February 2017.

Consultation
On behalf of the CUA IRC PwC’s Skills for Australia carried out industry consultations for this project from June – September 2017.
Consultation focused on identifying the key changes to training products required to more closely align training in the creative arts with the skills needs of industry. Activities included targeted consultation with key stakeholders in the form of face-to-face and phone interviews, the establishment of a project working group and a survey.
Following the CUA IRC’s review of our key findings from consultation and the recommendations we proposed for changes to training products, we developed draft training products to address skills gaps.
These draft training products were published for a final round of consultation in late October through early November 2017.

The consultation period for feedback on draft training products has closed.
These training products were independently validated by the Quality Assurance Panel. A Case for Endorsement for changes to the Creative Arts and Culture Training Package was provided to the CUA IRC for approval and submitted to the AISC in February 2018.
Thank you to all those who provided their valuable input.
