The objective of this project is to review life insurance units of competency and qualifications in the Financial Services (FNS) training package.

Consultation
On behalf of the Financial Services IRC, PwC’s Skills for Australia has been working in conjunction with Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANSIIF) to consult for this project. Consultation has been conducted throughout 2020 and January – February of 2021.
Draft training products were developed and shared online for public review.

Training Product Development
The final round of public consultation for this project has now closed.
The next step was to develop a Case for Endorsement for changes to the FNS Training Package, which was presented to the IRC for approval and then submitted to the AISC.

Release
The Case for Endorsement for Project 21A Life Insurance was approved by the AISC on the 19 August 2021.
Resulting changes to the Training Package can be viewed in the Case for Endorsement document below.
