Case for Change
The objective of this project is to review customer service, sales and industry advice units of competency in the Financial Services (FNS) training package.
PwC’s Skills for Australia prepared the Case for Change for this project on behalf of the FNS Industry Reference Committee (IRC) and submitted it to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) in May 2018.
The AISC endorsed this project in June 2018.

Consultation
On behalf of the Financial Services IRC, PwC’s Skills for Australia commenced consultation for this project in September 2018.
The next step is to develop draft training products, which will be shared online for public review.

Training Product Development
On behalf of the FNS IRC, PwC’s Skills for Australia carried out industry consultations for this project in 2020.
Following the IRC’s review of our key findings from consultation, we proposed recommendations and developed draft training products to address the skills gaps.
The final round of public consultation has now closed.
The Case for Endorsement (CfE) for the above projects and Companion Volume Implementation Guide (CVIG) have also been updated and are available for download below

Release
The Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) has endorsed FNS Training Package Version 6.0 for release on the National Register. A copy of the Case for Endorsement is available to be downloaded (link below). The Case for Endorsement for this project was approved by the AISC in December 2020.
Final training products for this project will be available on training.gov in late January 2021.
