Case for Change
The objective of this project is to review banking and lending units of competency in the Financial Services (FNS) training package.
PwC’s Skills for Australia prepared the Case for Change for this project on behalf of the FNS Industry Reference Committee (IRC) and submitted it to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) in May 2018.
The AISC endorsed this project in June 2018.

Consultation
On behalf of the Financial Services IRC, PwC’s Skills for Australia conducted consultation for the Banking and Lending project in the Financial Services Training Package from September 2018 – March 2019.
The consultation period for these training products has now closed.
Training Product Development
Following the Financial Services (FNS) Industry Reference Committee’s (IRC) approval of our key findings from consultation, we have developed draft training products for this project.
The public review period for these draft training products has now closed.
The next step is to develop a Case for Endorsement for changes to the FNS Training Package, which is to be provided to the FNS IRC for approval and submitted to the AISC later this year.

Release
The Case for Endorsement was approved by the AISC in July 2020.
Resulting changes to the Training Package can be viewed in the Case for Endorsement document below.
These changes are now reflected on the Training.gov.au website.
