Case for Change
The objective of this project was to review units of competency and skill sets which support small to medium businesses to adapt to the impacts of digital change.
PwC’s Skills for Australia prepared the Case for Change for this project on behalf of the Business Services Industry Reference Committee (BSB IRC) and submitted it to the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) in January 2017.
The AISC endorsed this project on 23rd February 2017.

Consultation
On behalf of the BSB IRC, PwC’s Skills for Australia carried out industry consultations for this project from June – October 2017. Consultation focused on identifying the key changes to training products required to more closely align training with the skills needs of industry.
Following the BSB IRC’s review of our key findings and recommendations, we developed draft training products to address skills gaps in the three projects. These were online for public feedback for a period of one month.

After the draft training products were made available online for public review, they were prepared for independent validation by the Quality Assurance Panel. The next step was to develop a Case for Endorsement for changes to the Business Services Training Package, which was submitted to the AISC in April 2018.

Release
The Case for Endorsement for BSB Digital Change was approved by the AISC in June 2018.
Resulting changes to the Training Package can be viewed in the Case for Endorsement document below.
These changes are are now reflected on the Training.gov.au website.
