An article from PwC’s Skills for Australia CEO Sara Caplan has been published by The CEO Magazine as part of PwC’s CEO Survey released earlier this year.
The piece explores the availability of key skills and how to bridge the gap between a current and future-fit workforce.
Australian CEOs consider the availability of key skills in their organisations as one of the top five threats to growth in 2018.
The latest CEO survey revealed 75 per cent of Australia’s CEOs (and 79 per cent globally) are concerned about the availability of critical skills, a significant increase on last year’s 58 per cent.
“The fast pace of digital change is reshaping today’s workforce,” Ms Caplan said.
“Education systems need to equip and empower the workforce with the right skills to succeed in this new working environment.
“Bridging the gap between a current and future-fit workforce is a journey that needs to start today.”
